What are All on 4 Dental Implants?
All-on-4 Dental Implants are distinctive dentures supported by implants that are specifically designed to eliminate the frequent issues of the constant slipping and shifting that often comes with traditional dentures. This restorative solution was designed to help you if are dealing with missing teeth and have deficient jawbone density which might require a bone graft. Since this restoration only requires four implants, unlike bridges which can require six to ten implants, the All-on-4 dental implant approach provides an effective and quite successful solution that both reduces the total treatment time and the cost involved. Unlike conventional dentures, they will also provide a permanent solution, not removable, and will feel more like your natural teeth.

How All On 4 Dental
Implants Work
Most of the custom personal planning is done at your initial evaluation, preparing you for a smooth, efficient procedure. To begin, Eddy Periodontics and Implant Dentistry will capture a Cone Beam CT scan to completely evaluate all aspects of your jaw, such as bone density, integrity, or bone loss. Next, we will determine the final look of your replacement teeth and any of your personal needs for your procedure. After this pre-work evaluation, a dental lab will then create a guided surgical template, which allows your team at Eddy Periodontics and Implant Dentistry to place your dental implants precisely in the most ideal spots using state-of-the-art software. This step also allows the lab to custom design your replacement teeth that will be placed onto your implants the same day of your implant surgery and complete your procedure with the upmost of efficiency.
At the start of your procedure, any loose or unhealthy teeth will be removed. We then surgically place your titanium, All on 4, dental implants. Once we have completed this phase, we can place your restoration. This set of teeth is usually temporary and will be worn through your healing process. After your gums and jawbone have completely healed, the final set of permanent teeth will be placed at a follow-up appointment. The post-procedure healing time is usually minimal for All-on-4® dental implants, and you can return to work or your regular activity the following day. For several months after your procedure, your gums and jawbone will heal and reach desired osseointegration. This simply means that your jawbone and gums will slowly bond with your new implants, forming a stable, secure, and healthy integration of your dental implants to your jaw. Eddy Periodontics and Implant Dentistry will schedule a follow-up appointment for several months from your surgery to complete your teeth in a day procedure.
All-On-4 Aftercare
Just like your natural teeth, it is still important that you maintain good daily hygiene habits, including daily brushing and flossing. In addition to practicing your good daily self-care, the most important complimentary thing you can do to for your oral health is to schedule regular visits with Eddy Periodontics and Implant Dentistry every six months. During these routine checkups, we can monitor the overall state of your oral health and assess how well your All-on-4 implants are doing as well as catch any additional issues before they develop. By simply maintaining these habits, you can easily prevent additional issues from developing in the future.
Cost of All on Four
Like most dental procedures, your final cost will be determined by a number of factors, such as the severity of your case, any sedation used, the number of appointments, any lab materials, and what type of dental insurance plan you have. We can provide you with an accurate estimate following your 3D CT scan.
Eddy Periodontics and Implant Dentistry does accept most dental insurance programs and will be happy to help by submitting a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company to determine your benefits. If you are not currently covered by dental insurance or have concerns about the cost, we will be happy to discuss other financial arrangements with you.

Bone Grafting
When teeth are extracted or oral cysts are removed, the underlying jawbone can deteriorate. This can result in a sunken facial appearance and make dental implant placement more difficult. A bone graft is a straightforward procedure that promotes the growth of new bone cells, helping to restore your oral health and prepare you for further treatments.
